A dense mat-forming perennial, which in winter bears lovely sprays of large, violet-blue flowers. Thrives in a rich, moist, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded position. 

Trim lightly after flowering to promote compact growth. Ideal for rockeries, containers, hanging baskets and for cascading over retaining walls.
